How do I turn the device on?

Press the Nox T3’s center button once. This will activate the display screen. You will see the instruction: ‘Hold Button to Record’. Press and hold the center button for about 3 seconds or until the circle on the display screen completes its loop. You may release the center button when the counter is visible and the word “REC” (recording) shows at the top of the display screen. 

How do I turn the device off?

Press the Nox T3’s center button once. This will activate the display screen. The counter will then display the duration of your sleep study in hours, minutes, and seconds. Press and hold the center button for about 3 seconds or until the square on the display screen completes its shape. This indicates the recording has been stopped and the test has been completed.

Do I need to change out the batteries?

No. Your Nox T3 device comes prepared with a new AA battery that will provide enough power for your 2-night test. 

What do I do if I woke up and the nasal cannula fell out of my nostrils?

Place the nasal cannula back into position. Tuck the cannula behind your ears with the tightening bead directly beneath and touching your chin. Apply the provided medical tape. 

What do I do if I woke up and the pulse oximeter fell off of my finger?

Place the pulse oximeter back into position and apply the medical tape. 

Where do I wear the chest belt?

Wrap the belt around your chest one inch below the armpits and over any breast tissue. Ensure the belt is not twisted then snap the plastic piece at the end of the belt to the back of the device.

Where do I wear the abdomen belt?

Wrap the abdomen belt (not the cable) around your stomach and place the sensor just above the belly button. Ensure the belt is not twisted then snap the plastic piece at the end of the belt to the back of the sensor.

Is the cannula made out of latex?

No, the nasal cannula is made from a soft plastic and is latex free.

Why a 2-night sleep test?

2-night home sleep tests increase your evaluation success and minimize potential retesting occurrences. This also ensures we gather enough data for our affiliate sleep physicians to properly interpret the study.

How long do I have to test?

Ideally, you should complete your test and return the device in 3 days. However, you have 5 days to test and return the device. After 5 days, we will start contacting you to warn you of possible late fees.
